| "I don't wanna go to bed!" |
Now, I understand he would wake up screaming to be taken out of his crib, but WHY does he continue to scream for the next hour and a half?! Inconsolably? We hold him, and sing or talk to him just about the entire time, yet he literally cries and screams the whole time! My husband seems to think he's just hell bent on being out in the living room (we have been staying in the bedroom with him) where all the action is - is that possible?! He is only 5 months old!! I seriously don't get this part and am very worried that it will have a lasting impact on him somehow. :(
On the up side, when Collin did finally fall asleep, he did so in his crib, not in our arms (a first!) he was holding onto my finger with one hand and his giraffe wub a nub was in the other hand although he saw sucking on the foot, not the pacifier part. Whatever works, right?
So tonight, we are planning to put him in his crib and go in every 5 minutes to reassure him we are here and love him. (Per suggestion from Kristen!) *sigh* I don't want to dread bedtime!!!!!

Keep up the good work. It's not the easiest thing to decide when your child is playing games with you, but you may get that when he graduates from college? Lots of love, Memere
