The Twenty-Sixth Night

1st time in a shopping cart!

I laid Collin down, awake, in his crib at 6:47pm and he immediately started crying. I did switch back to every 7 minutes, which I found much more comfortable for me. He stopped crying at 7:21pm. So about 40 minutes, which was the norm there for a while. :(

I really do wish I had put the nursing at the beginning of the routine way back on the first night. I didn't realize what type of ramifications that would have. It not only affected bedtime but nap times also.

Speaking of nap times, they aren't going so well. Yesterday, I tried FOUR times to put him down and he just screamed and screamed. I give him between fifteen and thirty minutes (depending on the level of crying) and then I announce that the nap is over. I don't want there to be sleep issues later, with him associating sleep with crying. Needless to say, since he didn't nap, he was Mr. Cranky-pants in the evening before bed. We didn't even get though our usual two books because he kept hitting the books and crying. Well, off to try today's first nap.....
