| Lovin' my jumper! |
(When does this change?! Will we ever be able to be out past 7pm without getting a babysitter?!)
I started the bedtime routine as soon as I got home and put Collin into his crib (tired but awake) at 7:50pm. His crying seemed more like frustration this time which is new. After our Doctor. appointment earlier, my husband and I agreed on 7 minutes instead of five, feeling that 10 was just too long of a jump. By 8:25pm, he was out. That is 35 minutes! Five whole minutes LESS than usual!!! Yeaaaaa!
It seemed to go by really fast too, as there were two of us doing it and because of the seven minute wait, I think we went in a total of 3 times, the 4th he was asleep! I was also able to deal with it better because his cry was so different. All the other nights it was that really upset cry that breaks my heart, but this night is was frustration - like if he was talking, he could whine, "Mommy, I don't waaaaanna go to bed!".
Today we are going to work on our naps. Collin usually takes tiny little cat naps, lasting no longer than 30 minutes at the very most and unless he is in the car, he usually fights the naps or falls asleep nursing. Our goal is to get him to go to sleep on his own and to sleep for 1 hour clips. (This seems like an unreachable goal right now!!) Wish us luck!!
