10 Months Old

So, I am happy to report, Collin goes to bed most nights at 7pm and sleeps through until about 6am. He gets up and nurses and goes right back to bed until about 8:00am. So the answer is yes, I do believe that the 'sleep training' did the trick and yes, if we didn't do it we would still have a midnight to four sleeper and a cranky baby. Now, don't get me wrong! He does not do this every night, there are still nights when he wakes crying at midnight and four am, but the majority of nights, this is the pattern, and I will happily accept it! :)

Foods are also going pretty well. Still making most of his food myself, but also using the Ella's Kitchen or Happy Baby foods when I go out as they are easy, convenient and organic. We just started lentils and Collin seems to really like them (who would have known?! I didn't know what a lentil was until fairly recently!!) My main goal with my food decisions for Collin are to expose him to healthy, non processed foods with the hope that his taste buds will know and enjoy these good-for-you foods, and when he is old enough to make his own food choices, he will eat the good stuff along with the crap I know he will someday eat. I hope for him a life free from the eating/weight struggles that I have. I guess we always want better for our kids, huh?

So Mr. 10 months already is not quite crawling yet but he gets around fairly well. He sits on his bottom and uses his legs to spin around, then he uses one knee to push one way or the other - quite resourceful I think lol! He is still in early intervention because he's not crawling and he is using his leg muscles instead of his trunk muscles to sit up, but we are working on that and I feel that he will be just fine. So does his pediatrician.

We also had is eye rechecked and that visit went a-ok also. No need for any type of surgery which was great to hear, and he gets rechecked in 2 years! :)

So all in all, Collin is doing very well and so are the rest of us. Chelsea starts college and Ryan starts 5th grade this week. The time just flies by!

Enjoy every moment!
